The Level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) utilizes a patient and family-centered approach to provide compassionate and high-quality care for newborns and infants facing complex health challenges. The NICU cares for neonates from the youngest gestations to post-mature infants. Phoenix Children’s has an expert team of neonatologists, pediatric specialists, sub-specialists, and dedicated NICU registered nurses all extensively trained and experienced in managing the most critical newborn cases, including medical and surgical management. Clinical leadership is available on both days and nights to provide ongoing support. The NICU setting requires strong decision-making skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. **Only NIGHT shift available at this time!**
This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.
Education
Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date. (Required)
