Nurse Extern II Opportunities with Piedmont Medical Center
Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina has opportunities for upcoming New Graduate RNs to apply for our NEW Nurse Externship II Program.
Our Nurse Externs will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor to provide direct care to our patients, in accordance with established policies, procedures and facility protocols.
By joining our Nurse Externship II Program, nursing students will:
- Develop clinical confidence, delegation, priority setting, and clinical decision-making skills
- Practice communicating with patients and care teams
- Establish valuable professional relationships
Qualifications:
Who is eligible:
- Senior nursing students in good standing of an accredited ASN or BSN program. Must also meet regulatory Human Resource Requirements
Areas of opportunities include:
- Emergency Department
- Intensive Care (CVICU, MICU, SICU)
- Critical Care (CV Tele, PCU, OBS)
- Medical/Surgical (2MS, Ortho-Spine, Oncology)
- Women's Services (L&D, Mom/Baby, NICU)
Nurse Extern II candidates will:
- Have minimum work requirement of 24 hours per 6 week schedule
- Receive a base hourly rate of $18 per hour
- Will be eligible to convert to RN position upon graduation
