The Pulmonology Specialty Nurse/Cystic Fibrosis Coordinator is responsible for an area of specialized nursing practice within the division of pulmonology. This nurse will be responsible for phone triage, scheduling questions, insurance authorization, letters, relaying imaging findings after discussing with providers, and responding to Nemours portal messages for pulmonology and CF patients. This Specialty Nurse will additionally participate in patient and family education regarding common pulmonology and cystic fibrosis diagnoses. As the Cystic Fibrosis Coordinator this nurse will be responsible for the coordination of patient care, including carrying out medical care plans, educating patients and families, and communicating with the multidisciplinary CF team.
