We are hiring midwives into 2 different midwifery practices at Reading Hospital.  Reading Hospital is a very midwife-friendly, teaching hospital with an OB residency program, with about 3200 births /year.  It is a medium sized teaching hospital with multiple residency and fellowship programs, many of which we interact with regularly as adjunct faculty. Midwives are eligible for clinical faculty positions with Drexel University. The hospital-based midwifery service is primarily responsible for OB Triage and L&D coverage. As the provider in our busy Obstetrical Triage unit (evaluating 550-700 + women/month) midwives’ function at the top of our licensure along with a dedicated team of RN’s and a medical assistant.
