Job Summary
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our distinguished cancer medicine faculty. The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Women's Oncologic Sexual Health and Gynecologic Oncology Survivorship provides specialized, patient-centered outpatient care to two closely aligned patient populations:
- Adult patients within the gynecologic oncology population requiring longitudinal survivorship care following completion of active cancer treatment
- Adult women oncology patients experiencing sexual health concerns or treatment-related physical changes affecting sexual wellness, pelvic health, and overall quality of life
This role supports patients across the cancer continuum, with a strong emphasis on survivorship care, sexual wellness, screening, prevention, and risk reduction. The APP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team to provide comprehensive evaluations, in-office pelvic examinations, individualized education, and longitudinal follow-up focused on managing late and long-term effects of cancer therapy while promoting overall health and wellness during survivorship.
Schedule
- Part Time Tuesday-Thursday; daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provides longitudinal outpatient care for adult patients within the gynecologic oncology survivorship population following completion of active treatment.
- Delivers specialized care for adult women oncology patients experiencing sexual health concerns or treatment-related physical and functional changes affecting sexual wellness and pelvic health.
- Performs comprehensive clinical assessments, including in-office pelvic examinations and survivorship-focused evaluations.
- Assesses and manages late and long-term effects of cancer therapy, including hormonal changes, pelvic health concerns, sexual dysfunction, treatment-related symptoms, and quality-of-life challenges.
- Develops individualized care plans emphasizing survivorship wellness, symptom management, and restoration of function.
- Provides patient-centered education, counseling, and anticipatory guidance related to survivorship, sexual health, and overall health promotion.
Screening, Prevention, and Surveillance
- Implements evidence-based survivorship surveillance and follow-up care aligned with clinical guidelines.
- Conducts personalized risk assessments to support cancer screening, prevention, and risk reduction strategies.
- Coordinates appropriate imaging, laboratory testing, and referrals as part of ongoing survivorship management.
- Promotes lifestyle interventions and wellness strategies to optimize long-term outcomes for cancer survivors.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care
- Works closely with gynecologic oncology surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nursing, genetics, physical therapy, psychology, and allied health professionals.
- Facilitates care coordination and transitions between active treatment and survivorship phases.
- Serves as a clinical resource within the program for survivorship care and women's oncologic sexual health.
Program Development and Education
- Participates in patient education initiatives supporting survivorship and sexual health.
- Contributes to program development efforts aimed at improving survivorship care delivery and patient access.
- Engages in community outreach or educational activities promoting awareness of survivorship and women's sexual health.

- Prior experience in gynecologic oncology or cancer survivorship programs.
- Experience in women's health, oncology, gynecology, or survivorship care.
- Specialized training or certification in women's health, sexual health, or pelvic health.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary oncology care model
License and Certification
Required
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility for state licensure.
- National certification as an NP or PA.
