The Neonatal Hospitalist Group (NHG), Inc, is looking for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a hospital based community NICU practice. NHG provides NICU services in 3 community NICU’s in the Burbank and Glendale area of Los Angeles, California.
The 3 hospitals served by NHG are the Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center (GMHHC), Adventist Health Glendale (AHG) and Providence St Joseph Medical Center (PSJMC).
The NICU’s are state of the art Level lll NICU’s caring for preterm infants, including, extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants, newborns with intensive care needs, ED admissions and out patient referrals from Pediatrician offices. NHG also works closely with USC Fetal Maternal Medicine Program to deliver and stabilize infants with known congenital anomalies
The NICU’s are staffed by well trained NICU nurses and intubation certified NICU respiratory therapists. The NICU’s over a wide range of services including, but not limited to, HFOV, NIMV, HFNC, umbilical catheters and PICC’s. The practice atmosphere is collegial and friendly with a focus on quality and parent satisfaction. The physicians, NNP’s and medical staff are supportive and accommodating to each other creating a healthy working environment.
Our referral centers for higher levels of care are Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA.
NHG provides 24/7 NICU coverage. Call is from home. NHG offers competitive compensation and reasonable work schedule.
Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
Competent in placing umbilical catheters, PICC’s and management of mechanical ventilators.
Intubation skills are preferable but not required.
Experience in using the electronic medical record (EMR) for charting and placement of orders.
The ability to work well with the entire medical team is essential.
