DescriptionNursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS), Pediatric Critical Care is a registered nurse whose practice is clinical nursing education and who oversees required education, competency, training, and professional development for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)and Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (PCTICU) in the UCLA Health system.  Encompasses the delivery of clinician (primarily nursing), professional/leadership development, policies, activities, assessment tools, and systems.  Promotes excellence in patient care, through skill acquisition in evidence-based nursing
