When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”
We have opportunities on both our surgical and delivery service teams.
Neonatal APP, Surgical Service: In this role you will be a part of our surgical service neonatal team, managing critically ill and premature infants in the NICU with complex health issues including resuscitation, assessment, diagnosis, medication management, ventilation management, treatment, and timely documentation. You will also participate in daily rounding with the interdisciplinary medical team and support pre- and post-operative patients that require cardiac, neurological, and other surgical needs.
It’s anticipated your first 1-2 years of practice will be on campus of Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City (a level IV NICU). Once fully oriented, you may also provide care at Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi (a level III surgical NICU).It is unlikely that you will attend deliveries in this role, as neither campus has a Labor & Delivery unit, instead receiving all patients via referral from other facilities.
Neonatal APP, Delivery Service: In this role you will be a part of our delivery service neonatal team, managing critically ill and premature infants in the NICU with complex health issues including resuscitation, assessment, diagnosis, medication management, ventilation management, treatment, and timely documentation. You will attend high risk deliveries and participate in daily rounding with the interdisciplinary medical team.
Your first 1-2 years of practice will be on campus of Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah (a level III NICU). Once fully oriented, you may also provide care in our special care nursery and well newborn units in nearby facilities around the Salt Lake Valley (inclusive of LDS Hospital, Riverton Hospital, and Alta View Hospital). It is unlikely that you will support pre-op or immediately post-operative patients in this role, as surgical needs are currently referred to our Primary Children’s Hospital team.
Both Opportunities:
Our Neonatal APPs are eligible for up to $7,500 in relocation assistance and student loan assistance when applicable.
Full time schedule includes 3 12-hour shifts per week, with additional 4 hours paid for training, meetings, documentation, etc.
Base salary is dependent on market & years of experience.
As we are a 24/7 service, you will work a mix of day and night shifts. When working night, weekend, holiday, or extra shifts, you will be eligible for shift differentials ranging from 10-50% above base pay.
How we'll support you:
We care about your well-being, which is why we provide our caregivers a generous benefits package. In addition, we offer paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance to support your continuous growth and development.
