Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established group in Augusta, Georgia. Piedmont Augusta (formerly University Hospital) is a 812-bed, acute-care facility that serves the Augusta-Richmond County area and 25 counties across two states.
Coverage includes a 28-bed Level-III NICU and Normal Newborn Nursery with approximately 3000 deliveries per year and an average daily NICU census of 15
Team of 4 Neonatologists and 5 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with 24/7 in house NNP coverage and physician call from home
Five NNPs work 12-hour shifts, in-house attending deliveries, writing orders and managing newborns.
NNPs have their own office and call room
NNPs have equal day/night and weekend shifts over the year. Clinical pathways, donor breast milk and common practice style allows for optimal outcomes.
Healthy, family-oriented culture
No surgical, iNO, or therapeutic hypothermia patients (regional referral center is one mile away)

Qualifications
Current APRN national specialty certification
Minimum of a masterâ™s degree
