Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for the Atlantic Medical Group Women Health at Hackettstown NJ.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
The CMA will manage patient flow, room patients, perform vital signs, review/update patient history & medications in Epic, maintain and stock exam rooms, register & schedule patients, assist with phones, order clinical supplies, assist with in office procedures, act as a chaperone, chart prep of OB patients, pre-certifications, order IUD's and medications from patient's specialty pharmacy, scan incoming results into Epic, reviewing overdue results in Epic, and all other tasks within their scope of practice that promote efficient work flow within the practice. Other responsibilities include phone management, scheduling appointments, greet and register patients, verify patient demographics, scan insurance and ID cards, and collect & post co-payments.
Minimum Education:
HS Diploma required
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Minimum Experience:
OB/GYN practice experience preferred
EMR experience desired
Proficiency in physician practice management system including scheduling and registration tasks essential
Must be able to work flexible hours including one (1) evening per week and one (1) early morning per week
Travel to other OB/GYN practices is required
License/Certification:
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
