Growing Women’s Health Service is recruiting a full time Certified Nurse Midwife to care for women across the life span as well as provide educational experiences to varied learners. This CNM will provide full scope midwifery care including 24/7 hospital coverage and prenatal care for patients who choose midwifery. Our Advance Practice Providers work alongside their peers, physicians, and residents to provide exceptional care to women of all ages. This position includes both weekends and night coverage that is shared equally with the CNM team. 

Work responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide obstetrical care in the outpatient setting.
• Triage pregnant women that present to the Birth Center
• Labor management
• Flexibility to work weekend, holidays and nights to provide 24/7 coverage at the Birth Center; work will be equally divided amongst the CNM team
• Ability to first assist in OR for cesarean sections (if trained in school)
• Postpartum rounding including education and discharge planning.
• Gynecologic care including basic GYN annuals, contraception, vaginitis, STI screening, vulvar disorders, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and both pre and postmenopausal care.
• Perform procedures as approved on your privileges form 
• Attend department and sectional meetings as scheduled.
• Provide patient care and interact with health care team in a professional manner.
• Education of varied learners.

CNM Job requirements include:

• Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery
• Licensure as both an RN and CNM in the state of North Carolina
• Experience Required
• DEA License required to start
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certified required to start
• Submission of CNM transcript

CNM experience preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexibility to provide coverage across the department as deemed necessary by leadership.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. 
• Ability to perform other related duties other than those described.
