DescriptionSummary:Performs the functions of a Family Centered Maternity Care Technician in collection of vital signs and observation of the patient; in collaboration with the RN, performs basic nursing care for the obstetrical patients for an assigned shift. Is responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice as applied to managing supplies and equipment under the direction of a charge nurse; it is the expectation that this position will perform delegated functions as necessary to avoid disruption in patient care within the Family Centered Maternity Care (FCMC) setting.
