The Birthing Inn is Puget Sound’s premiere freestanding and independent birth center. Since opening our doors in 1999, The Birthing Inn has welcomed almost 4,000 beautiful new babies into warm, cozy, and peaceful surroundings.   We are looking for dedicated and autonomous Certified Nurse Midwives (both staff and per diem opportunities available) who are eager to expand their skills while providing outpatient and birth center services.  The midwives are backed up by supportive physicians on staff at the two major hospitals in Tacoma. Support for the midwives who wishes to gain hospital privileges in order to follow their clients requiring hospital transfer is available but not required.  You will have an important influence shaping the out of hospital birth experience for birthing
