Atlantic Health System is Seeking a PerDiem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a PerDiem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. The neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery. The ideal candidate would provide 1-2 shifts per month, working from 7pm - 7:30am or 7am - 7:30pm (12-hour shifts). Weekends are not required.
Responsibilities
The APC will be responsible for advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, perform bedside procedures, daily progress notes, patient/family education and meetings. The ideal candidate would provide 1-2 shifts per month, working from 7pm - 7:30am or 7am - 7:30pm (12-hour shifts). Weekends are not required.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS certification required
Must have at least 1 year of Critical Care/Neurology experience
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
