Summary:
Follows nursing process to deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Functions as the clinical resource for patient care for the Women¿s Health practice. Responsible for compliance with all relevant policies/procedures and regulations. Works closely with the OBGYN providers to perform phone triage for patient medical questions, outside provider questions. Communicates information effectively; ability to make timely decisions and manage change process effectively. Must interface with all departments as part of the BMG clinical team. Responsible for being the clinical resource for OBGYN patient care.
Other information:
Minimum of 2 years nursing experience. RN licensure. Preferred OB/GYN experience.

Assesses patients accurately, consistently and efficiently. Provides care that meets professional standards of practice and meets regulatory requirements. Triages patients who call or present with urgent medical needs, handles all incoming calls related to lab results, pharmacy refill requests, and medical questions. Accurately document continuum of care. Documentation reflects ongoing evaluation. Synthesizes patient assessment data and recognizes complex situations prior to communicating with care team. Manages all laboratory/diagnostic results tracking in EMR system including DHIN, Athena and Cerner. Manages care of complex patient utilizing proper prioritization and delegation of appropriate staff. Actively manages clinical office staff buckets (Athena) and offers follow up actions for daily task lists. Routinely demonstrates proper technique in operating all office/medical equipment. Serves as patient advocate and resource and contact person for all patients.
Conscious of biohazard safety as it relates to the job. Ensures proper delivery of specimen to lab with correct labeling. Consistently performs all nursing duties using appropriate PPE and in accordance with OSHA standards. Acts as the department liaison between Beebe Medical Center and Beebe Medical Group. Effectively demonstrates knowledge and oversees the utilization of the nursing process throughout the physician practice setting. Understands the importance of critical thinking, prioritization of duties and time management skills. Maintains a rapport with providers and encourages their active participation in improvement processes.
