Job Description
In collaboration with the management team focuses on daily department operations. Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of Nursing. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the Providence Health System. Serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff, exhibiting the Core Values in all activities. Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director and pursues management and leadership training within the Providence Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special projects per Clinical Manager / Director consistent with strategic, fiscal, and operational goals/targets.
Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Variable or Night Shift, 40 Hours Per Week.

Required qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
3 years Clinical experience.
1 year Supervisory or Charge Nurse experience. Supervisory experience may include leading teams in performance improvement activities. Charge nurse, resource nurse, or similar experience may count for up to two years of the required experience
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the Human Resource Leader.)
Certification within area of expertise or practice (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.) upon hire
