RN Specialty ICU PRN Nights Summary Saint Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. As a comprehensive medical center, Saint Francis Hospital Memphis features a broad spectrum of tertiary and acute care, outpatient services and specialty areas including Women�s Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence and Behavioral Health. Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/ Surge and Telemetry.
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
RN Specialty to be limited to the following areas: ED, Surgical Services (only OR and PACU- not pre op, same day), L&D (not post partum, nursery), IR, Cath Lab, ICU, Step down, Dialysis, NICU Approval required by Corporate Nursing Leadership to be used in other units.
Responsibilities
·Assess patient's status, analyze and interpret information for intervention
·Work with physicians to facilitate quality patient care.
·Confers with Nursing Supervisors / Director as it relates to patient care outcomes
·Interacts on a continuous basis with other departments by directing activities towards positive outcomes
·Establishes delivery system and utilize nursing process.
·Follows policies, procedures, standards for hospital.

Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor or Master degree)
Certifications
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR.
