Summary
Reports directly to, and works under the guidance of Manager/Supervisor. Has medium to high level of expertise to perform skilled carpentry. Constructs, repairs, maintains building finish systems, cabinetry, doors and hardware. Maintains a safe and workable environment for all building users. If there is more than one Carpenter and there is a Lead Carpenter, will take daily direction from the Lead Carpenter.
Responsibilities
Operates and maintains all building finish systems and hardware throughout the facilities.
Performs preventive maintenance on finishes, systems and hardware according to skills and abilities, as directed.
Performs complete operational and serviceability checks to insure safe, efficient and economical operation of all areas of facilities.
Performs corrective maintenance on systems and hardware according to skills and abilities.
Troubleshoots problems in order to make repair.
Responds to routine and emergency calls for corrective maintenance involving building systems.
Constructs new minor furniture as directed.
Performs rough and finish carpentry in renovations and construction as directed.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field preferred.
Experience
Required: Four years of progressive experience with a cabinet or construction company or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.

Pay Range: $27.79 - $37.36 Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee�s qualifications and experience.
