"ABOUT ME": To succeed in this per-diem position, you must be knowledgeable and familiar with current evidence-based practice of phlebotomy and specimen collection. Strong attention to detail, as well as good communication skills, are essential. If you are comfortable enough to hit the ground running in a new setting, this may be a good fit for you.

Position: Inpatient Phlebotomy Technician

Required Education and Credentials

• Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• Current AHA BLS, and a Phlebotomist Certification from a nationally recognized accreditation board such as: ASCP, NPA, ASPT, AMT, ACA, or NHA. 

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a phlebotomy technician in an inpatient hospital setting within the last year. 
• Must be detail-oriented, computer and technology savvy, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining an excellent bedside manner. 
• Cerner charting system experience is preferred.
• Experience performing CoaguCheck for PT/INR testing, blood cultures, and routine adult and pediatric draws. 
• Must have experience working with pediatric and neonatal patients including bilirubin and PKU collection, as well as routine heel and finger sticks.
