Advanced Practice Ob/Gyn Clinician

Baystate Ob/Gyn Group, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician to join our team for an in-office ob/gyn (non-call) position.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Graduate of an appropriate and accredited medical provider program
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• State/federal prescriptive licenses
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of general obstetric and gynecologic protocols
• Prior experience with in-office obstetrics and gynecology in an Advanced Practice Clinician role

Skills required include:

• Complex problem solving using multiple resources in a manner appropriate to the situation
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with an EMR and computer applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and if needed co-management of obstetric and gynecologic patients in accordance with established practice protocols.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Write appropriate prescriptions and medication orders
• Work collaboratively with other clinicians, physicians, and staff
• Record all appropriate documentation in an EMR system
• Respond in a timely manner to staff inquiries as needed.

Types of services provided in the office may include (but are not limited to):

• Routine well-woman exams
• Adolescent ob/gyn care
• Prenatal physicals, routine obstetric visits, prenatal problem visits, and postpartum visits
• Early pregnancy visits
• Pap smears
• Breast exams
• Assessment and treatment of STDs, UTIs, and infections
• Family planning
• Menopause management
