JCMC, RWJBarnabas Health (JCMC) is Hudson County’s largest provider of healthcare services with 332 beds, and more than 16,000 admissions and over 80,000 emergency room visits each year. An advanced life support provider for Hudson County, JCMC provides 911 medical screening for Hudson County and operates a triple-accredited EMS system. The hospital serves as a regional referral and teaching hospital, and serves as a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, providing 24-hour trauma surgery for Hudson County, the County’s waterways, New Jersey Turnpike, Holland and Lincoln Tunnels, and Liberty State Park. The Center is a Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Center, and a Regional Heart Hospital with cardiac surgery. The Center is the only three-time Magnet?Designated Hospital for Nursing Excellence in Hudson, Union, or Essex counties. JCMC is a state-designated Stroke Center, and is certified by DNV GL Healthcare, affirming the hospital’s provision of the full spectrum of stroke care, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and education. The Center has received the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association Get With the Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus ...Quality Achievement Award for the 7th consecutive year, recognizing the organization’s commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients.
