University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Advanced and Complex Care Team in Minneapolis, MN.
In This Role, You Will:
Join an established program providing palliative care consultation for children at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital – our award-winning academic hospital is home to more than 50 pediatric specialties.
Practice independently on a collaborative, well-established and interdisciplinary team that consists of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Worker, spiritual health and child life.
Assist families with navigating the health care system, fostering seamless care, and maximizing quality of life for patients and their families.
Serve populations that include pediatric oncology, solid organ and bone marrow transplantation, neonatology and pediatric intensive care, and cardiovascular disease patients.
Practice primarily in the inpatient setting with the potential to expand to a palliative care outpatient clinic.
We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider Who Is:
A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training program.
Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
Licensed or eligible to obtain a license through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Nursing (NPs).
Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
What Could Set You Apart?
At least 2 years’ experience in practice with advanced knowledge and assessment skills in the field of Palliative Care is preferred, and/or experience in caring for medically complex children.
