Christiana Care, Women's Health at Wilmington is looking for an Outpatient Medical Assistant .
The Women's Health Group is located inside of Wilmington Hospital. The Wilmington Women's health practice is a residency focused practice with 5-6 residents and attending staff rotating through daily. There are a total of 26 residents that will rotate through this practice during the year. The Wilmington office has over 10,000 patient visits a year and approximately 11% (1100 visits) are nurse visits. The practice provides safe and consistent care for a very vulnerable patient population with complex medical and social needs.
The office provides routine OBGYN care, emergency room follow-up care and referrals from other specialty and family practice offices. The office has specialty clinics which include, Gynecological Surgical Clinic, Complex Contraception Clinic, Long Acting Contraception Clinic, and Colposcopy Clinic. It can be a fast-paced office with diverse appointments types in a single schedule.
This is a 20 hour per week part-time exempt employed position.
No weekends or holidays required, which offers a great work life balance!
Depending on coverage needs, this part-time position could rotate to multiple offices located in Smyrna, Middletown and/or Christiana Hospital.
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Experience as a Medical Assistant, is strongly preferred.
Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not required.
