Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to participate under the administrative, clinical direction and leadership of the Director of the Neonatology Program and in collaborative relationship in the Newborn (Mother-Baby Unit) and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (FICN and FIN Nurseries) with the resident and attending physicians. Interacts in a collaborative fashion with the nurses and other multidisciplinary team members. Duties are to provide primary care for the well newborn and high-risk newborn infant in these locations in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the New Jersey State Advanced Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications:Certified as Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey with a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey. At least two (2) years of related nursing experience as a Neonatal or Pediatric Critical Care Nurse required. BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS required.
