Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children offers a full range of services including a level 1 trauma center, outpatient services, cardiac, orthopedic and transplant surgery services, intensive care and neonatal intensive care, and stem cell transplantation (to name a few). We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to supervise our chemistry laboratory. The supervisor is responsible for evaluating and implementing new tests, monitoring CAP survey performance and maintaining quality assurance and quality control for all testing procedures for the chemistry section. For consideration, applicants must have a B.S. Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology. Ideally, applicants will have at least 3-4 years of experience in a hospital chemistry section. Lastly, applicants must have experience with validating new assays, writing procedures, overseeing quality control and being responsible for the technical aspects of the chemistry section.
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, required.
Minimum of three (3) years pertinent clinical laboratory experience, with supervisory experience.
Excellent organizational, management, written and verbal communication skills.
This position reports to clinical laboratory administration and the medical director.
