Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Providers Manager FULL-TIME, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.â‹
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region
This position is responsible for:
The management, leadership and mentoring of a group of Advanced Practice Providers in collaboration with the Director of Advanced Practice.
Develops, promotes and supervises the NCH ARNP staff reporting to the Director of Advanced Practice.
Recruits and actively involves new ARNP candidates in the Nemours culture and infrastructure, allowing for mentorship, to include appropriate disciplines.
Ensures that projects are planned, managed and supportive of the long-term range goals to align with enterprise and nursing goals.
Provides strong leadership for staff through education, mentoring and ongoing
Fosters an atmosphere that promotes creative productivity and teamwork.
Promotes research to include clinical application and evidence-based practice activities.
Assists in professional goal setting for direct reports in collaboration with Director of Advanced Practice and Division Chiefs according to Nemours expectations.
Demonstrate proficiency in the care of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents and adults.
Maintain a current knowledge base through participation in appropriate professional activities.
Assist in contract administration, screening and placement of students for graduate-level learning experiences throughout the Nemours Children’s Hospital and Nemours Specialty Care Clinic settings.
Continue to provide direct patient care as scheduled, per the Job Description for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Ambulatory or Acute Care
MSN required, must also be a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner as clinical appointment is required
Must have current ARNP license in good standing
Current American Heart Association BLS, PALS if required for clinical division.
Five years of pediatric clinical experience required (Ambulatory or Acute Care).Prior leadership experience â‹
