Baystate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA. As the NICU Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for approximately 95 FTE’s, primarily made up of Registered Nurses, with a seasoned team of Assistant Nurse Managers (2) to support your efforts. You will also have a seat at the table with physician leadership to influence patient outcomes.Baystate Children's Hospital, a 110-bed and 57-bassinette hospital located within Baystate Medical Center, is the only accredited full-service children’s hospital in western Massachusetts providing primary and advanced medical care to babies, children, and adolescents and their families. Our Children’s Hospital features the region’s only neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, the only emergency department for children and the region’s only Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, a free-standing Baystate Children’s Specialty Center for the majority of outpatient pediatric specialty care, and provides specialty pediatric hematology/oncology services in the Sadowsky Center for Children, located within the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care.You will be responsible for:Clinical Practice and Quality OutcomesHuman Resource LeadershipManagement of the Patient Care EnvironmentFinancial Growth and StewardshipOperational Planning
What will you need?Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Current Health Care Provider CPR certification required.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience preferably in a neonatal/nursery setting. Previous experience in a nursing leadership role in a Neonatal setting strongly preferred.Certification: National certification in Nurse Administration or specialty area preferredEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree preferred.
