Our practice is seeking dedicated neonatal nurse practitioners to join our expanding team of 20 neonatologists and 17 NNPs who work together collaboratively to provide exceptional care for neonates in the St. David’s Healthcare System in Austin, Texas. Flexible scheduling includes 24 and 12 hour shifts. Coverage includes a 37-bed Level-III unit, expanding to 57 beds, with a newborn delivery service of approximately 6,000 per year at St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas, a 65-bed Level-III unit with neonatal surgical services and a newborn delivery service of approximately 4,300 per year at St. David’s Medical Center, a 12-bed Level-II unit at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, and a 9-bed Level-II unit at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. In addition, NNPs provide coverage for the normal newborn services at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. Medical services provided by our practice include HFOV, nitric oxide and total body cooling. A strong MFM program and pediatric subspecialties support our NICUs. Clinical responsibilities include prenatal and newborn consultations, attendance of high-risk deliveries, and comprehensive management of neonates in newborn nurseries, Level-II and Level-III NICUs.
