SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals:Â Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.Â
Inland Valley Medical Center
A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside Countyâ€™s only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.
Rancho Springs Medical Center
A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the regionâ€™s largest birthing center along with the areaâ€™s only NICU in combination with Rady Childrenâ€™s Hospital and the regionâ€™sÂ first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program.
As a staff member providing clinical expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, and quality and efficient services.Â Staff will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSA), circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience in an acute care facility, 6 month in Emergency Department required.
RNâ€™s with less than one-year experience must complete a 4-8 week preceptorship program.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
ACLS certification (90 days of hire into a training program).
PALS certification (90 days of hire into a training program).
MICN and TNCC (Inland Valley/status positions only) preferred.
