Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Bronson Hospital seeking a neonatal nurse practitioner to complement the existing 6 neonatologists and 6 neonatal nurse practitioners.
Direct patient care
Attendance of high risk deliveries
Consults for high risk deliveries
Night coverage for neonatologists
Procedures such as chest tubes, intubations, PICC lines, umbilical lines, and more
The unit provides care to sick newborns and premature infants including:
Pediatric surgery (no hearts of ECMO)
Transports from outlying hospitals (currently not run by NNP's, but option to do so)
Bronson Hospital is a 434-bed hospital with Magnet designation. It is community owned and a not for profit health system. It is the leading provider of health care and the area's larges employer. Bronson is a Level I Trauma unit for adult and pediatric patients. It is also designated as a Children's Hospital with a Level III NICU that provides services to a nine-county area. The newly remodeled all private 45-bed unit is family friendly and provides cameras at the bedside so family can check on their infants from home.
The NNP's are highly regarded and respected by staff members and the physicians they work with. The work environment is such that is promotes learning and mastering skills. The staff, physicians, and the NNP's works as a team to promote a safe and healthy environment for our smallest population.
Requirements include MSN and NCC certification, along with strong communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to function independently and autonomously. Experience preferred, but new grads will be considered.
