The Department of Women, Children and Family Health Science (WCFHS) in the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is recruiting doctorally prepared faculty specializing in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) - Acute Care for all six campuses. Responsibilities would include teaching all levels of students, particularly in didactic and clinical areas of the PNP Program.
Minimum education required is a doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in nursing or related sciences by the time of appointment. Also required is eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse and PNP Acute Care in Illinois. Colleges and University resources are supportive of development of teaching methods, clinical practice and academic scholarship.

WCFHS is one of three departments in the UIC College of Nursing. Over 1300 students are enrolled in Bachelor of Science (BSN), Advanced Generalist Master of Science (AGMS), Doctor Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) studies throughout our six campuses - Chicago, Peoria, Quad Cities, Rockford, Springfield and Urbana. The Department of WCFHS also includes the following programs of study: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwifery, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute/Primary Care, and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
