Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
In this role, you will be a clinical manager who partners with the operational manager to ensure that the nursing staff delivers safe and effective care. This role is built around the five role sub-components as regulated by the California Board of Registered Nursing: Leadership, Consultation, Research, Education, and Clinical Practice. You will provide in-depth clinical expertise in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will develop and ensure quality standards for the nursing practice and for a specific patient population. In addition, you will provide advanced clinical practice education, consultation, research, and administration.
A clinical master’s degree in nursing, in the NICU
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A current California RN license
Clinical Nurse Specialist certification by the California Board of Registered Nursing in area of specialty
Current BLS certification
Demonstrated clinical expertise in area of specialty
Recent project management experience
The ability to consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
