Providing comprehensive, primary health care to a select population of essentially healthy women
Participating in the care of women with medical complications and/or obstetrical and gynecological needs in collaboration with obstetricians and gynecologists
Assuming responsibility for a caseload of patients selected according to midwifery practice protocols
Nurse Midwife OB Evaluation
Providing emergency room-like triage evaluation and management to women presenting to the Women's Pavilion OB Evaluation area
Providing midwifery care to women in the Labor and Delivery Unit and Outpatient clinics
Participating in the care of these women and collaborating in collaboration with obstetricians and gynecologists, other nurse midwives, residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and other members of the health care team.
Our ideal candidates will have graduated from an accredited school of Nurse-Midwifery and have one year of clinical nurse midwife experience. Required licensing includes ACNM or ACC certification, a license in the State of Maryland, and CPR certification.
